Manage your downloads with this extension
My Downloads is a browser add-on developed by developers.jordantbh.me. As the name suggests, this app works as a downloads manager, allowing you to access all your Google Chrome downloads. It is free to download and uses very few resources.
However, users should know that aside from accessing your downloaded files on your web browser, My Downloads does nothing more. In fact, the interface looks like the downloads section already provided by Google Chrome. While there is a settings option available, there are no helpful customization options available. It only gives information about the app.
What does the app do?
My Downloads is a web browser extension that organizes your downloads. As it is an add-on, you don't have to open your files folder to see if your download is complete. From within the extension, you can also see the option to open the file in a folder. This is perfect if you are downloading multiple files or zipped files.
Unlike the other extensions for Google Chrome, you can configure the app to be available in Chrome's incognito mode. You only need to launch the settings option of the app. To do so, click the three dots when you launch the extension. There, you can see the option to allow the app in incognito. Once you enable this, you will see the extension icon when you open the incognito mode.
However, as mentioned, there is nothing more to the app than displaying your downloading and downloaded files. If you are using the downloads option of your Google Chrome, you will see that the app has the same function. It also has the same look. While the description promises that the app is available in various languages, no configuration option will allow you to change the language.
Is the app good?
Overall, My Downloads is an application that works as advertised. It lets you access your downloaded files from your web browser. However, more than that, there are no other features available. It is nothing more than a complete copycat of the downloads section of Chrome. And as they have similar functions and interfaces, adding this to your browser is not necessary.
